The Changing Energies
Time Feng Shui focuses on the changing energies of earth and heaven for each year of the Chinese calendar. Both the solar and lunar calendars play a role in Time Feng Shui. The celestial influences are determined through complex calculations akin to those used in astrology.
The difference is that Time Feng Shui is concerned with the changes over time to the energy that influences your life through your living and working spaces. Feng Shui Masters and consultants have made their interpretations readily available in comprehensive almanacs discussing their predictions for every year, month, day or hour.
They actually like to do this and will do it for you too!
Time Feng Shui takes into account the general influences of a year based on the Chinese solar calendar, which begins on February 4th or 5th of our Western calendar year. This aspect uses what is known in Feng Shui as the Four Pillars or Eight Characters chart. The five elements – water, wood, fire, earth and metal – and the twelve animals of Chinese astrology also factor into this chart.

The year a building was constructed or underwent major renovations, determines the formula used to find out how that space is affected by the energy of the current year. This powerful technique – called "Flying Star" Feng Shui – is based on numerology. A chart is drawn for the house and formulas are applied according to the particular influences of a given year.
A Flying Star Chart
Here is an example of what a Flying Star chart looks like:

The nine-section Flying Star chart is overlaid on the floor plan of a house or room based on compass directions to determine which energies are dominant in that space during a given year, month or day. The combination of numbers tells the story of the energies that influence each space.
(Ouch! Somebody just egged me. Okay, moving on.)
Now you can discover whether a space is favorable or unfavorable for you or your loved ones and you can enhance or correct it. These calculations are scientific in nature and adhere to scientific formulae. They are not "WooWoo", mysticism or superstition.

Well, if you look closely at Time Feng Shui you will see that it adheres to age-old principles of mathematics as well as today's scientific understanding of physics. How? Physicists state that everything is energy and that all energy is vibrating.
However, the couch is vibrating at a very different frequency than the sunshine outside. Those differing vibrations produce matter of different densities. The universe is vibrating energy.
